Early Winter Break in Delhi Schools:
The Schools in Delhi will be closed from November 9 to November 18, 2023 due to the rising level of Pollution for the safety of school children and teachers. The decision was taken because of ongoing efforts to tackle the bad air quality, which isn’t expected to get better anytime soon.
So, by tomorrow i.e. November 9 to November 18, 2023 all schools in Delhi will be closed as per announcements made by the Delhi Education Directorate.

| In the wake of implementation of GRAP – IV measures due to Severe + Air Quality prevailing in Delhi and seeing that no respite from such adverse weather conditions in near future is predicted by the IMD, the Winter Break for the session 2023-24 is ordered to be preponed so that schools can be totally closed and both children and teachers can stay at home. |
The air quality of Delhi is found to be more severe on Wednesday as the haze covering the National capital and its surrounding areas is mostly due to the smoke generated by burning leftover paddy straw in neighboring states, accounting for around one-third of the air pollution.
So, with the effect of severe pollution in Delhi, all the schools will be closed from November 9 to November 18, 2023 as an early winter break as per the Directorate of Education.
